Quinebaug Valley Photography Club

Quinebaug Valley Photography Club is about friends, fun, and photographs!   We have one major thing in common….we love photographs and we strive to improve our skills through club activities, competitions and sharing with one another. The club hosts image makers from all over Northeastern Connecticut including members from Windham, Willimantic, Plainfield, Putnam, Killingly, Moosup, Woodstock, Chaplin, Hampton, Pomfret as well as members from nearby Massachusetts.

QVPC hosts monthly competitions on the 1st Thursday of each month.  The 2011-2012 season competitions are:

Print competitions:  September, December and March

Digital competitions:  October, November, January, February, April & May

We are members of the NECCC, Connecticut Association of Photographers and the Photographer’s Society of America.  QVPC also enters competitions in these associations.

Individual Membership  $30              Family Membership  $40                   Student Membership  $10

Yearly dues are payable in September.

Stop in for a visit at the Pomfret Audubon  Center. Our new space, which resembles a giant red barn, is now complete and is just beautiful. The street address is: 218 Day Road, Pomfret, CT. We meet on the  1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are proceeded by a social gathering beginning at 6:30.  You will be greeted by our Membership Chairman,  Ed Savoie.  We meet September through May.
