Competition Night

The officer’s meeting started at 5:30 pm. All officers with the exception of Victor Boomer, were present.

Items on the Agenda:
Digital Projector: Decision to get a price from Photo Connection on the Canon LV-7265. The Epson 77c is no longer available. It’s been replaced by the Epson 78 but that projector has less to offer than the Canon. Once we have the price we will present the option to purchase to the club members. Status: Waiting for price from Victor

Next NECCC Selection Date: December 14th, 5:00 pm at 64 Island Road, Dayville. Discussion about continuing to enter slide division. Must complete this year because we entered in the fall competition but may not enter slide competitions next year.

Christmas Program: Planning on receiving a DVD slideshow of the Ocean State International entries by the 3rd week of December. Need a backup in case the slideshow is not complete. Discussed talking to Ron Tillen of Thompson to have him available to show his Arctic trip. He presented it at the Audubon in October.

February Overnight Trip: Chris has been in touch with Quality Inn in Quechee, VT. He is waiting for a call back with a group rate.

Calibration Software: There was some discussion on purchasing calibration software (ColorMunki was the brand) for the projector. ColorMunki was suggested because it can be used on monitors, printers and projectors.
Spyder3 Elite can calibrate monitors and projectors…no mention of printers. Software is quite a bit cheaper than ColorMonki. More research is needed before purchasing any calibration software.

December 7th Day trip to Stockbridge, MA: Will offer group trip to the Norman Rockwell Christmas. Those wishing to car pool can meet at the Putnam DMV parking lot. More details at December meeting.

Under NEW BUSINESS Laura Vear stated that she is having trouble securing judges for our competition nights. Officers shared names for her to contact.
