The January meeting is a digital competition. The categories are Novice, Nature and Open. We also have 3 theme categories: Store Front (maybe some nice
Christmas decorated stores) Mood and Boat Yard. The deadline for submitting images is Monday, January 2nd but images can be placed in the Dropbox anytime prior to the deadline. Images must be sized 1024 pixels on the width or, if a vertical image, a height of 768 pixels with a dpi of 72. Check the rules under
the “more” and then “files” tab for detailed instructions. Images will be critiqued by an outside judge and also be given a score. Visitors may enter one competition. Must be a member to enter future competitions.

Reception- January 8th

The reception for the Audubon Focus on Nature contest is January 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. We have some amazing entries and it will be wonderful to meet some new local photographers. Immediately after the reception we’ll be selecting both digital and print images to submit to NECCC for the Winter competition. We’ll pull all the digital images from the last couple of competitions. Additional digital images should be placed in the Dropbox, and prints brought with you on the 8th

.

Christmas Party Changes

The Christmas Party will be held but we must limit the food to finger foods.  The Center’s Christmas Store is set up in the big room so we will adjust by not
having a “sit down” meal.  We will still have a good time….byob if you like. Wine and spirits are okay.  We can do some hot appetizers too.  We’ll  be
showing the PSRI International Salon….there will be different images from all over the world.  You are welcome to bring family and friends.  It won’t be a
late evening…probably a couple of hours or so…but a nice chance to visit with each other.

See you December 15th!

Audubon Contest, Exhibit & Sale

FOCUS ON NATURE

The deadline for submitting entries is Sunday, Dec 11th.  Entries can be framed or just matted.  If you would like your image (s) to be for sale, please
indicate your asking price on the label.  Images will hang at the Center for the month of January.  Judging will take place the first week of January…day and

NECCC COMPETITION NEWS

Regrettably our fall prints did not make it into the fall competition.  They were shipped Priority Mail  on October 18th to meet the 24th deadline.  The competition was held on October 31st. I was told the label came off during shipping even though it was affixed with shipping tape.  It was lost for more than 2 weeks before it went to Skip Hoyt, the Greater Lynn organizer of the print competition.  Skip said when it came back with no label  the competition had been completed so he thought the images had been judged and he put a new label on and sent it back to us.  Whatever happened the images will get judged at the winter competition along with our new entries.  The club will not be penalized and NECCC will pick up our extra shipping costs.  In addition, Bill Barnett and Cindy Gosselin (NECCC coordinators) will adjust the scores to reflect the scores of the fall competition.

The electronic competition scores can be found at  http://www.neccc.org
